With the aim of developing and enhancing the skills of agriculture students, the Bachelor of Agricultural Technology/Diploma of Agricultural Technology (BAT/DAT) program of Isabela State University San Mariano Campus produced 127 National Certificate (NC) II holders in Rice Machine Operation, Agro-Entrepreneurship, and Organic Agriculture Production at Robert Agri Tourism Farm, Ilagan City, Isabela, from July 2-29.
In an interview, Dr. Julius C. Lagua, BAT/DAT Program Chairperson, expressed his gratitude for the students’ achievement.
“The agriculture students once again demonstrated their skill and determination, with 127 of them passed the National Competency Exams. This achievement is a testament to their excellence, proving that they can compete with others in the field,” Lagua said.
Lagua also highlighted the importance of this achievement for the students’ future careers. “This success significantly impacts their future as agriculturists, as the knowledge they have gained will be invaluable in their next steps,” he added.
He also extended his appreciation to his colleagues for their support.
“A big thank you to the 127 NC II holders of our BAT program and to my co-teacher, Engr. Joamae Maneja, who worked with me to achieve this success. To our agriculture students, let’s continue to dream until we reach our goals,” he concluded.
Meanwhile, Mr. Jay Ar Cagurangan, a BAT 3 student and one of the passers, shared his thoughts on the importance of the assessment.
“One of our goals in passing the NC II is to gain more knowledge and skills. As future agriculturists, it is a great asset to deepen our understanding of agriculture,” Cagurangan said.
