Isabela State University – San Mariano Campus commenced the Academic Year 2024-2025 with a kick-off program themed “Paddafun 2024 Empowering the Future: Welcoming the New Academic Year with the SDGs” held earlier today, August 12, at the Agri-Educ Quadrangle.
In her message, Dr. Ruby Dimas, Campus Administrator, encouraged the students as they begin their academic journey.
“Let us begin this academic year with the spirit of inclusivity and collaboration,” she said.
She also expressed that students can make a difference as they embark on their academic journey, and emphasized the importance of doing so with a sense of purpose.
Moreover, Dr. Kristopher Lopez, Academic Affairs Director, emphasized that kindness is expected from every student as part of the institution.
“ISUans should be known for being kind. What use is intelligence if our hearts are not pure?” he expressed in his message.
In her closing remarks, Dr. Josiefel Agcaoili, Student Affairs and Services (SAS) Director, gave advice to the students in their tertiary education.
“If you have determination, you will overcome the uncertainties in your education,” she mentioned.
Meanwhile, the program ended with the election of the Supreme Student Council (SSC) first-year representative.
