The Intellectual Property- Technology Business Management (IP-TBM) Region 2 completed its first day of the seminar-workshop on Intellectual Property (IP) Masterclass today,

September 19, at Isabela State University, San Mariano Campus.

 

The IP-TBM is one of the four components of the Regional Agri-Aqua Innovation System Enhancement (RAISE) Program of the Department of Science and Technology-Philippine Council for Agriculture, Aquatic, and Natural Resources Research and Development (DOST-PCAARRD), along with the Agri-Aqua Technology Business Incubation, the Agri-Aqua Business Hub, and the Knowledge Management Hub.

 

Engr. Emmanuel M. Mendoza, Division Chief of IP Regional Operations Division, introduced IP and the different rights that come with it, Patent Search and Patent Drafting, while Dr. Eva U. Cammayo, Project Leader of IPTBM Region 2 conducted an orientation on the RA 10055, also known as Philippine Technology Transfer Act of 2009.

 

The two-day event is participated by faculty members of different ISU campuses, namely San Mariano, Ilagan, Cabagan, Angadanan, and Cauayan. Also present during the said endeavour are selected students from ISU-San Mariano.
