Marking a definitive milestone in community-driven development, the Extension and Training Services unit of Isabela State University (ISU) San Mariano Campus recently spearheaded two high-impact executive engagements to fortify the interface between academic innovation and public administration. The first achievement involved a ceremonial Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) signing with the Local Government Unit of Benito Soliven, graciously hosted by Hon. Mayor John Paul Azur and the Sangguniang Bayan. This formal alliance establishes a mandate for specialized extension programs designed to enhance the municipality’s socio-economic landscape under robust executive oversight.

Parallel to this, a high-level consultative session was convened with Hon. Mayor Ana Cristina S. Go of the LGU of San Mariano to align the university’s flagship initiatives with the municipality’s specific operational requirements. This dialogue ensures that the university’s “Roadmaps of Intervention” are technically rigorous and deeply resonant with local needs.

The significance of these events was underscored by the presence of the university’s top management, signaling a robust institutional commitment to community service. The delegation was led by University President Prof. Boyet L. Batang and University Extension & Training Services Director Dr. Ferdinand Bulusan, joined by Campus Administrator Dr. Drolly P. Claravall, Campus Extension and Training Services Director Dr. Mary Ann B. Mamauag, and a dedicated assembly of faculty extensionists. This powerful convergence of university leadership and local chief executives marks the official transition from conceptual planning to active field implementation, fostering a future where academic excellence and community resilience are inextricably linked.
