A successful academic year begins long before students enter the classroom. It starts with careful planning, meaningful discussions, and a shared commitment to continuous improvement.

With Academic Year 2025–2026 on the horizon, the faculty of ISU San Mariano gathered on August 5, 2025, for a meeting on Instructional Operations aimed at ensuring a smooth and effective transition into the new school year. Led by Dr. Aisie O. Bete-Liban, Campus Director for Academic Affairs, together with department chairpersons, the meeting served as a platform to revisit concerns raised during the previous academic year and identify strategies to enhance instructional delivery and faculty support.

More than addressing operational concerns, the gathering reflected the University’s commitment to creating a learning environment where both educators and students can thrive. By examining past challenges and exploring practical solutions, faculty members reaffirmed their shared responsibility in delivering quality education and fostering student success.

A significant part of the discussion centered on the implementation of DBM Circular No. 3, particularly its implications for faculty promotion. Participants were guided through the updated requirements and encouraged to begin preparing the necessary documents that will support their professional advancement and contribute to strengthening the University’s academic profile.

As the meeting concluded, one message resonated clearly: continuous improvement is a collective effort. Through collaboration, preparation, and a commitment to excellence, ISU San Mariano continues to lay a strong foundation for another productive and successful academic year.
