The Bachelor of Science in Information Technology (BSIT) Program celebrated a significant milestone with its first pinning ceremony held on February 27th, under the theme “Tech Horizons: Beyond Boundaries, Infinite Possibilities.”

Dr. Mark Rennel D. Molato, a core faculty member of BSIT, emphasized the importance of the Pinning Ceremony, particularly in light of the program’s accreditation by the Accrediting Agency of Chartered Colleges and Universities in the Philippines Inc. (AACCUP).

Ms. Lorime R. Montanes, BSIT Instructor, expressed confidence in the readiness of fourth-year BSIT students for their Internship Program, highlighting their comprehensive preparation in both academic and social skills. She also noted the positive impact these students would have as they embark on their internship journey.

Reflecting on the occasion, John Mark B. Pagtalunan, a fourth-year BSIT student, expressed gratitude for achieving this milestone and eagerly anticipated the practical application of the skills and knowledge gained from instructors and professors.

Similarly, Christine Mae Piano, another fourth-year BSIT student, shared her excitement for the event, acknowledging the blend of nerves and joy as she prepares to enter the real-world setting.

Parental pride was also evident, with Jinky Recio and Mariefe Piano expressing their joy and pride in witnessing their daughters officially pinned, emphasizing their hard work and determination to pursue their dreams despite life’s challenges.

The BSIT Pinning Ceremony symbolizes not only academic achievement but also the resilience and determination of students and their unwavering support networks. It marks the beginning of a new chapter as students transition from academia to real-world experiences, equipped with the skills and knowledge to navigate the challenges ahead.
