
A collaboration between the Isabela State University (ISU) – San Mariano Campus and the Department of Science and Technology (DOST) Region 02 has been established, through the implementation of the Knowledge Innovation, Science, and Technology (KIST) program, marking a significant milestone in our commitment to fostering innovation and knowledge-sharing within our community.
An assessment conducted on February 06, 2024, identified areas of strength and opportunities for further collaborations, ISU San Mariano emerged as a promising beneficiary of the KIST program as it possesses state-of-the-art laboratories, a diverse pool of talented faculty members, and a strong commitment to research excellence. As well as being in a strategic location within the province that can serve as a focal point for innovation and knowledge creation in the region.
The results of the assessment are set to become a basis for a comprehensive action plan leveraging the campus’ potential as a catalyst for innovation and technological advancement of which includes research grants opportunities, technology transfer programs, industry partnerships, and capacity-building activities aimed at enhancing the campus’ research and development ecosystem. This partnership also seeks to enhance research and development capabilities, promote technology transfer, and stimulate economic growth through innovation-driven initiatives.
