Senator Imee R. Marcos spearheaded the distribution of educational financial aid to students across the Isabela State University (ISU) system through the Assistance of Individuals in Crisis Situation (AICS) program of the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) at ISU-Echague Campus Amphitheater on November 5.
The financial assistance provided ISUans with the opportunity to receive P5,000 educational aid. Among the beneficiaries were 80 students from ISU-San Mariano Campus, with 20 students from each department—BSEd, DAT/BAT, BSIT, and BSHM—qualified for and benefited from the program.
Camilo A. Pablo II, a BSEd student, expressed his gratitude for the assistance, highlighting its impact on his academic journey. “This cash assistance will help me in various ways, primarily in purchasing school supplies and materials. It will also ease the financial burden on my parents by providing me with an allowance,” Pablo shared.
John Paul Bueno, also a BSEd student, emphasized the significant help of the financial aid, especially as he approaches his fourth year in college and anticipates the need for instructional materials. “Being chosen as a beneficiary of the cash assistance from Senator Imee Marcos is a blessing. It greatly helps us students, particularly in covering our internship expenses,” Bueno added.
In total, 2000 beneficiaries from the Isabela State University System benefited from the AICS program, aiming to support students experiencing financial difficulties and identified as underprivileged.
