In celebration of its 48th Founding Anniversary, Isabela State University (ISU) San Mariano Campus successfully conducted a series of meaningful and impactful activities on June 8–9, 2026, anchored on the theme, “DALOY: Driving Academic Legacy through Outward-looking Yields for a Smart-Green ISU.”

The two-day celebration reflected the University’s continuing commitment to excellence, community service, environmental stewardship, wellness, and inclusive development through activities that fostered collaboration among faculty members, non-teaching personnel, students, and community stakeholders.

The celebration commenced on June 8 with UGNAYAN: A Community Outreach Program held at Barangay Panninan, San Mariano, Isabela. The outreach activity served as a manifestation of the University’s extension mandate by bringing services and assistance directly to the community. Through this initiative, ISU San Mariano strengthened its partnership with local residents while promoting social responsibility and community empowerment.

On the second day, June 9, participants gathered for a series of activities aimed at promoting health, environmental awareness, cultural appreciation, and institutional solidarity. The day began with a Zumba and Wellness Activity, encouraging physical fitness and healthy living among members of the university community.

This was followed by a Tree Planting Program, highlighting the campus’ commitment to environmental conservation and sustainability. Participants also engaged in Laro ng Lahi and Indoor Games, fostering camaraderie, teamwork, and appreciation of Filipino culture and traditions.

The celebration continued with a fellowship lunch, providing an opportunity for meaningful interaction and strengthening relationships among university personnel. In the afternoon, a Gender and Development (GAD) Sensitivity Training was conducted to promote gender awareness, inclusivity, and responsiveness within the institution.

The anniversary celebration culminated with an Awarding Ceremony, recognizing the invaluable contributions, achievements, and dedication of individuals and offices that have significantly contributed to the growth and success of the campus.

Through the successful conduct of these activities, ISU San Mariano Campus reaffirmed its dedication to its core mandates of instruction, research, extension, and production while continuously fostering partnerships, environmental responsibility, and community engagement. As it marks another milestone in its history, the campus remains steadfast in its pursuit of innovation, excellence, and sustainable development in service of its stakeholders and the wider community.
